Hello...I am star
A trip to the dollar store. We make or buy a costume. We play pretend for our session. Record the moment like show and tell in which the preschooler tells you why they like this costume they have made or brought. A little piece of paper and crayons. They draw out the costume and use a word that describes from their sight word list. Count how many items it took to make the costume and write it on the piece of a paper. What is one of the shapes on the costume? Have the little one to draw it out.
Song
We use some sort of recording device. We record the little one reciting their favorite nursery rhyme. Then we use a computer print of images of the nursery rhyme to glue to the construction paper. On the back, when it is dry, use words from the sight list that describes the rhyme. Count the images and write down the number. Then write down a shape from the nursery rhyme and have them to draw it out.
Pictures
We take pictures with some sort of camera. Then we print it out. With markers, we tell a story about our picture using the sight word list. Number the bottom of the picture. On the front of the camera, have the preschooler to make their favorite shape. Then write down a little with their name and date.
Have them to point the colors they used for the story.
